About the Event

Dr. Sarah Kolnik is a neonatologist and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital. She is also the Associate Medical Director at the University of Washington NICU and Co-Director of Neonatal POCUS Program at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Her research focus includes strategies to improve neonatal neurological outcomes in the setting of injuries such as intracranial hemorrhage and hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. She uses non-invasive monitoring with cranial POCUS and near-infrared spectroscopy to assess injury and to investigate mechanisms to help prevent or mitigate injury
